Married at First Sight Season 5 Couples: Ceremony's Over, What's Next?

Married at First Sight Season 5 couples exchanged vows and are ready to take on the married life with a complete stranger. What happens in the honeymoon?

Well, that is what we are all going to find out when Married at First Sight Season 5 Episode 3 airs on Thursday, April 27. The upcoming Married at First Sight Season 5 episode made me binge watch its previous episodes.

On the couples' wedding day, Cody and Danielle, Sheila and Nathan, and Ashley and Anthony seemed impressed with one another. Looking at them, they all seemed to feel the physical attraction that they have for one another. Though for me, I think it was more obvious with Nathan that he really does want to consummate the marriage on their first night. I think Sheila shares Nathan's sentiment but is either shy to tell the camera or is being cautious with her father around.

However, a teaser towards the end of Episode 2 reveals that these married couples are and will be experiencing a lot of crossroads along the way. I even saw Cody tell the crew if they can just stop filming.

Like everyone else, I am interested to see whether all three couples will emerge victorious from this social experiment or they will return to singledom with loads of learned experience from the reality show.

If you ask me, I am rooting for Danielle and Cody. I think the connection is there and they seem to like one another. Though I have a problem with Cody's squeaking voice. I think it happens to him when he gets really nervous!

Nice wedding photo-op

Married at First Sight Season 5: The Chicago Series

The Married at First Sight Season 5 experts are back!

After months of waiting, Married at First Sight returns to the small screen! I unintentionally followed the previous season but it was not that bad because I enjoyed watching Lillian and Tom fall in love.

The gang which comprises of Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Rachel de Alto, and Pastor Cal Roberson are back to find single men and women their perfect match. After that, these couples will stay married for about six weeks before they tell the experts if they want to continue being married or not.

People Magazine reported that in MAFS Season 5 premiere, three couples met their match and got married. Ashley Petta, a 30-year-old restaurant manager married Anthony D’Amico, the 33-year-old sales and marketing professional. Next is Sheila Downs, a 31-year-old director of operations for a local school, was matched with Nate Duhon, Lastly, Cody Knapek, a 26-year-old entrepreneur exchanged vows with Danielle DeGroot, a 30-year-old dietician.

MAFS Season 5 cast members

Just a brief recap of Married at First Sight Season 4, they matched three couples, Heather and Derek, Lillian and Tom and finally, Sonia and Nick. Still in their honeymoon, Heather and Derek were not seeing eye to eye already unlike the other two couples. Eventually, they both decided (but more of Heather, really)to end their marriage.

Meanwhile, the two other couples, Lillian and Tom and Sonia and Nick stayed till the end of the season. I adore Lillian and Tom though the latter did keep a secret that instead of living in a proper house, he lives in a tour bus! It was fascinating to see how Tom took a lot of effort and money to build his home. Initially, Lillian was shocked but I guess her attraction with Tom took over that she was able to overlook that detail.

Stalking their social media accounts, Lillian and Tom did use the tour bus even off-camera. They seem to be enjoying their married life together. However, it is not the same with Sonia and Nick, more popularly known in the reality series as "Sonic."

Recently, both Married at First Sight Season 4 cast members announced on their social media accounts that they are ending their marriage. I think a lot of people who supported the Sonic felt bad but wished both well.

I am excited to see how Married at First Sight Season 5 will pan out. Hopefully, no couple will end their marriage while they do the experiment. Apart from the new season, the reality show also moved networks. MAFS is now being shown on Lifetime.
